Gentle Yoga – Monday mornings
Relax, recharge and renew with Yoga!
Learn and practice a variety of gentle Yoga techniques designed to help us de-stress, bring balance and good health to all our bodily systems and bring peace and calm to the mind.
Classes suit all levels of fitness and experience, including beginners to Yoga, and are tailored to suit individual needs. Modifications (either more gentle or more physically challenging) will be offered as required.

Chitra will offer a wide range of options for how to practice each technique, encouraging everyone to be in the moment, to honour their own bodies and have fun!

Note: Monday 9.30am class passes can be used on Thursday 9.30am classes and vice versa, but please book for the class you are most likely to attend regularly.
Pregnant women are welcome in all classes but recommended to attend the prenatal class if possible.
Preparation for class:
Wear comfortable clothes for exercise and aim not to eat for a couple of hours prior to class. If you need to eat, have a light snack.
Chitra Stern has been teaching Yoga since 1989, in Australia, India and the USA. She has trained with the Gita School of Yoga in Melbourne and with Integral Yoga in the USA, and is certified to teach Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-natal/post partum Integral Yoga Hatha classes. She has also completed Integral Yoga Stress Management Teacher Training and has trained with Amy Weintraub, completing level 1 and 2 Yoga for Depression teacher trainings. Chitra is also a Level 1 Integral Yoga teacher trainer and co-director of the Integral Yoga Centre of Melbourne. Her focus in Yoga is on opening to our natural inner peace, freedom and joy by letting go of competition, accepting and enjoying ourselves as we are, being present in the moment and having fun!
