After school Art Merges Science is a five-week program designed to engage primary school children in STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Maths.


Each session consists of three parts; explore, investigate and create.

Over the five weeks participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Make slime and investigate its potential properties
  • Build their own drawing robot
  • Investigate how rocks and minerals are formed and grow their name or initials in crystals
  • Build an articulated model of a human hand
  • Investigate simple machines and design and create a simple mechanical toy

Please note participants should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle with them. No food is allowed.

This program is a series of five 75 minutes classes.  Thursdays 4-5.15pm for $100 ($13 plus $7 for materials per week).

What to bring?

  • All materials are provided and included in the class price.
  • Please bring a water bottle. No food is allowed.
  • Participants should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing.

Who’s teaching?Kate_MCCabe

Kate McCabe is a qualified teacher and zoologist. She has been teaching science for over 15 years. Kate is passionate about engaging children in understanding how the world around them works.
