What’s it all about?
At this hands-on macrame workshop, you will learn how to make your own macrame plant hanger! We will spend time learning basic knots and how to create and design your very own macrame pieces that you can proudly say you made with your own hands. This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for adults.
The workshop will run on Sunday 22nd May between 1pm – 4pm in the Rodney Snell Function Room at the Woodend Neighbourhood House.
What will we cover?
During the workshop you will learn how to make a plant hanger to take home – for yourself or as a gift for a friend or family member. The workshop is a great beginner workshop if you have no experience and are interested in developing your macramé skills with a great group of people.
All materials (biodegradable macrame string, wooden ring, terracota pot) are included and you will leave with your own macrame plant hanger.
Who will be teaching? “Hi, my name is Oz and I design, create and share my love for the macrame at Lennon + me. Living in the world’s longest locked-down city brought out my creativity and my 3 years old son Lennon inspired me to start this journey 2 years ago. I have been teaching and running regular workshops for months now and I absolutely love it, there is no better feeling than students going home with such pride in the finished pieces. I’m also a proud member of Migrant Women in Business!
