About the Event

What's it all about?

Kirtan (keer-tahn) is a celebration of life and connectedness by coming together and joyfully hearing and singing sacred mantras from the eastern spiritual traditions, accompanied by traditional and contemporary live instruments. The hearing and chanting of sacred mantras naturally invoke spiritual inspiration, fulfillment, mental peace and the expansion of love and acceptance into everyday life.

It’s a great way to reset your mental and heart space and connect with others through healing sound energy.

As well as kirtan, participants can enjoy a hearty home-cooked vegetarian dinner.

Everyone from any walk of life, new or familiar to kirtan, is welcome to join. It's an easy-going, fun and tasty open space for all!

Who will be leading the group?

Facilitators Robyn and Paul are long-time local residents. Recognising the spiritual and community-building benefits of kirtan and loving to cook and play for others they have joined with friends to present this exciting regular event new to Woodend.
