Inspired by the Boomerang Bag initiative, Woodend Community Bags have taken the town by storm in a positive step towards making Woodend plastic bag free. Volunteers from all walks of life get together at the Woodend Neighbourhood House to make reusable Woodend Community Bags from recycled materials.

What’s it all about?
Woodend Community Bags are taking the town by storm in a positive step toward making Woodend plastic bag free.
Volunteers from all walks of life are getting together at the Woodend Neighbourhood House to make reusable Woodend Community Bags - Boomerang Bags from recycled materials.
There are many ways to be involved and sewing skills aren’t necessary!
Over a cuppa, cake, a chat and a giggle, you can learn how to sew, cut, pin, bundle, and iron... and make some lovely friends.
The group meet on Thursday Mornings from 9.00am-12.00pm in the Undercroft of the Woodend Neighbourhood House. All welcome!
