About the Event
What's it all about?
This waste education session will cover the basics of the four-bin system and how to reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfill.
It will explain the waste hierarchy, circular economy principles and how Council is working towards more circular options for our waste.
The session will also give an overview of the soft plastic recycling pilot and other resource recovery programs being run by Council.
Who will be leading the session?
Tamara’s the Waste Education Officer at Council and facilitates education workshops at kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, businesses and community centres.
She knows that the recycling landscape is always changing which makes it tricky to do the right thing and aims to make recycling as simple as possible.
She runs communication and behaviour change campaigns regularly through online and print media and is a friendly face at local Fayres and Agricultural Shows at Council’s Waste stall.
