This is Nature (Preschoolers 2-5 years) - Children's Week 2024

What's it all about?

Preschoolers aged 2-5 years and their carers are invited to a special workshop in celebration of Children's Week 2024.

Woodend Neighbourhood House along with Creative Me are hosting an immersive art workshop in nature.

The intention of the workshop is to encourage participants to think and talk about our own connection to nature; to notice how we can enjoy it in different ways, to think about sunlight powering the whole planet and us - and to celebrate it through creativity. 

With the help of paint and coloured acetate - a modern take on the classic lead light windows - we will each create a unique piece that will keep reminding us of that connection by bringing colour and light into our homes.

This Children’s Week event is presented by Woodend Neighbourhood House in partnership with the Victorian Government.

Who will be leading the session?

Creative Me is a mobile art “un-school” working in the Macedon Ranges and beyond, our clients ranging from preschoolers to seniors. We run joyful creative workshops focused on process and the pleasure of making. We aim to inspire everyone to embrace their inner artist and grow in creative confidence.

Additional Information

'This is Nature' will run between 2pm and 3pm on Wednesday 23rd October. It is aimed at preschool children (aged 2-5 years) and their carers. There is no cost to attend this workshop.
