About the Event
Explore the vibrant world of acrylic painting in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Led by experienced art tutor Marilyn, this class is designed for beginners and those with some experience in other creative mediums who are ready to discover the versatility of acrylics.
You'll learn foundational techniques, experiment with colour and texture, and build your confidence step-by-step. Bring your curiosity and creative spirit – no previous acrylic experience required!
This is a new class for Term 3 2025.
Suggested materials to bring along for the class:
Canvas board
Any acrylic paints and brushes you have
Surface on which to mix paint (for example a plastic plate)
Water container (for example a yoghurt pot)
Rags for cleaning
Attendees may also wish to bring along a 'wet palette'- which is a plastic tray (reusing a meat tray is ideal) with baking paper and a chux.
Who will be teaching?
Marilyn is a local artist with a lifetime of experience in art using porcelain, glass, acrylics, pencils, charcoal, watercolour, oils and pens.
Term 3 2025 Information:
This eight-week course will run on Thursday afternoons from Thursday 31st July until Thursday 18th September 2025 between 2pm - 4pm. The cost for the eight-week term is $160 (2 hour 15 minute session at $20 each).
If you wish to join the class after the term has begun, our booking system will allow you to book for the remaining classes - assuming there is space.
