About the Event
With the cost-of-living skyrocketing, and no signs of inflation slowing down, the number of people struggling to afford nutritious food is on the increase.
Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group’s Veg Action Group, in partnership with the Woodend Neighbourhood House, have launched a Soup Kitchen on Thursdays between 12.30pm - 2.30pm in the Undercroft of the Neighbourhood House (enter via the gates next to the Skate Park, off Margery Crescent).
Each week, the menu will change and include delicious dishes such as a hearty minestrone soup, and a golden pumpkin soup.
Everyone is welcome to come and be cooked for in a warm and inviting space. And bring your kids too, they can enjoy the soup and complete a colouring in.
Whilst the Soup Kitchen is running, the Woodend Neighbourhood House Foodbank will be open in the same space for people to access pantry staples and person hygiene supplies.
There is absolutely no cost to attend the Soup Kitchen, though those able to make a donation are welcome to do so, to help cover the cost of ingredients.
Everyone is welcome.
