About the Event
Class Summary
Join Angie and Richard for a 6-week Movement with Music program - a chance to connect, explore joy and creativity, and have fun together. Sessions can be enjoyed seated, supported or standing - all are welcome. Mature-age participants, and those living with Parkinson’s, stroke or other neurological conditions, all belong.
What's it all about?
Moving Freely & Brain Health is a welcoming 6-week movement with music program designed for people of all abilities and all bodies. The program is specifically tailored for people living with neurological conditions and offers a safe, inclusive space where participants truly belong.
Inspired by the internationally recognised and research‑supported Dance for Parkinson’s program, this session invites participants to move freely while exploring the joys and benefits of movement, dance, music, and creative expression.
The focus is on enjoyment rather than performance, and on building confidence, connection, and wellbeing within a supportive community.
The session will be facilitated in English, though Shanghainese and Mandarin instruction is also available.
Who will be leading the program?
The 6-week program will be led by Angela and Richard Snowdon, who bring a complementary mix of experience in movement, recreation, music, and wellbeing.
Angela Snowdon is a qualified dance teacher with certifications in First Aid, Occupational Health and Safety, and spiritual care from internationally accredited organisations. She brings a warm, inclusive approach to movement and is experienced in creating safe, supportive spaces for people of all abilities.
Richard Snowdon is a recreation and music facilitator with a Bachelor of Recreation Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration. He also holds a First Aid certificate and has extensive experience supporting community‑based programs that promote wellbeing through creative and recreational activities.
Together, Angela and Richard offer a thoughtful, person‑centred approach that supports enjoyment, connection, and confidence for all participants.
