What's it all about?
Carers from the Macedon Ranges and Moorabool are invited to attend free Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA), courtesy of Outdoor Inc.
This valuable training will equip you with essential skills to support your mental health and wellbeing and of those you care for. Join us for an empowering session designed to enhance your caregiving capabilities.
About 1 in 5 Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. MHFA training will teach you practical skills to support someone with a mental health problem and make a real difference in your community.
LEARN PRACTICAL FIRST AID SKILLS
- Recognise common mental health problems
- Provide initial help using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan
- Seek appropriate professional help, and
- Respond in a crisis situation
- This is an educational course, not a therapy or support group.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will run on the following dates:
Session 1: Thu 24th October
Session 2: Thu 31st October
Session 3: Thu 7th November
Each day will run between 9:30am - 2:30pm
There is no cost for carers to attend this session.
