About the Event
What's it all about?
Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a degree of chance. The game is played with a set of tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols in groups of four. At the Woodend Neighbourhood House, the group play the western style of Mahjong.
This group is for experienced players.
For beginners, we will be running a new players course in Term 2 over 10 weeks. The first four weeks will be held on a Wednesday morning, with the remaining 6 weeks running concurrently to the regular Tuesday afternoon class. Please click here for more information click here.
Term 2 2026 Information
Mahjong runs on a Tuesday afternoon in the Rodney Snell Function Room between 12.30pm and 3pm (2.5hour session).
In term 2 2026, the term runs for 10 weeks, starting on Tuesday 21st April until Tuesday 23rd June 2026. The cost for the 10 week term is $50 (10 x 2.5hour sessions at $5 per session). Payment can be made online or in person at the Woodend Neighbourhood House.
