About the Event
What's it all about?
Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a degree of chance. The game is played with a set of tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols in groups of four. At the Woodend Neighbourhood House, the group play the western style of Mahjong.
This group is for experienced players.
Beginners are encouraged to register their interest in a four-week Beginners Class.
Term 1 2026 Information
Mahjong runs on a Tuesday afternoon in the Rodney Snell Function Room between 12.30pm and 3pm (2.5hour session).
In term 1 2026, the term runs for 10 weeks, starting on Tuesday 27th January until Tuesday 31st March. The cost for the 10 week term is $50 (10 x 2.5hour sessions at $5 per session). Payment can be made online or in person at the Woodend Neighbourhood House.
