Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a degree of chance. The game is played with a set of tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols in groups of four.
Beginners and intermediate players are all welcome.
Term 1 2024 Information
Mahjong runs on a Tuesday afternoon in the Rodney Snell Function Room between 12.30pm and 3pm (2.5hour session). In term 1 2024, the term runs for 8 weeks, starting on Tuesday 6 February until Tuesday 26 March.
The cost for the 8 week term is $40 (8 x 2.5hour sessions at $5 per session). If you wish to join the group after the term has begun, our booking system will allow you to book for the remaining classes - assuming there is space. Payment can be made online or in person at the Woodend Neighbourhood House.
Those wishing to attend a trial session ($5) are encouraged to register their interest via email so a beginners table can be arranged in advance.
