About the Event
What's it all about?
Did you know that intentional, practiced laughter lowers stress levels, enhances mood, and has multiple health benefits?
During this three-part 'Introduction to Laughter Yoga' short course, participants will learn tried and true breathing techniques, and playful physical exercises; in a judgement-free (indoor) space. Good vibes, and fun, guaranteed!
Loose, comfortable clothing and footwear recommended for gentle movements. No prior yoga experience required; no floor exercises included. This activity is suitable for all ages and abilities; but remember, laughter is extremely catchy... so be prepared for a giggle!
Who will be leading the session?
Fi Walsh has been practicing laughter yoga for a decade, through LY clubs, and independently. As a qualified Trainer & Assessor, Fi has also delivered LY sessions to staff in large corporations; as well the community, through neighbourhood houses and gov funded programs. Originally from Melbourne, and more recently Ballarat; Fi is soon to make the MRs home.
As a strong believer in social connection, Fi's passion to help others improve their well-being through 'less conventional means', was sparked by an awareness of the difficulties faced by those attempting to access mental health support post-pandemic.
A fun-seeking, 50-something woman, Fi is determined to spread the joy of laughter Yoga and its many benefits.
