Who will be teaching?
Louise Nicholson is the Director of Perfectly Nourished. She takes complex nutritional science and human physiology and distills both into relatable content designed to educate and improve one’s health, whilst minimising our impact on nature.
Louise is a degree qualified Nutritionist who graduated thirty years ago. She spent her early years working as a Consultant Nutritionist with an AFL football club and the Victorian Triathlon Association, whilst she trained towards the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
During the past 15 years Louise pursued her passion for Paramedics, gaining her second science degree before working within the community. Most recently she taught Paramedic Science at Victoria University. It was while caring for patients severely impacted by chronic disease that she became disillusioned with the current medical system, whose practices she believes only provide band-aid solutions to underlying problems.
Driven to have a more wholistic impact on what is becoming an unsustainable public health burden she returned to her Nutrition roots, completing further studies in gut health with renowned American Gastroenterologist, Dr. Will Buslwiesz, author of the New York Times best seller, Fiber Fueled. In April 2022 Louise travelled to Texas to attend What Good Can I Do? an inaugural conference covering all matters regenerative agriculture, food, nutrition, wellbeing and our connection with mother nature.
Louise is happiest at home in the countryside of Trentham, Victoria with her husband and family of three golden retrievers. Her relationship with a beautiful natural habitat and her animals keeps her grounded and serves as a reminder that sustainable wellbeing can be achieved from simple connections in life such as high quality food, one another and nature itself.
