What it is all about?
Join Chitra for a Deep Dive into the Sun Salutation, a beautiful and versatile sequence. In this session, you will explore each posture within the Sun Salutation in detail, learning how to move with the breath to create a flowing, meditative practice. Discover how this energising sequence stretches and strengthens the entire body, improves flexibility, and supports overall wellbeing. This is a wonderful way to start your day with vitality, focus, and a sense of gratitude, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready to embrace whatever lies ahead.
Suitable for all levels, with options to adapt the practice to your own needs.

Who will be teaching?
Chitra Stern has been teaching Yoga since 1989, in Australia, India and the USA. She has trained with the Gita School of Yoga in Melbourne and with Integral Yoga in the USA, and is certified to teach Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-natal/post partum Integral Yoga Hatha classes. She has also completed Integral Yoga Stress Management Teacher Training and has trained with Amy Weintraub, completing level 1 and 2 Yoga for Depression teacher trainings. Chitra is also a Level 1 Integral Yoga teacher trainer. Her focus in Yoga is on opening to our natural inner peace, freedom and joy by letting go of competition, accepting and enjoying ourselves as we are, being present in the moment and having fun!
Term 3 2025 Information
"Deep Dive into the Sun Salutation" is part of the Sunday Yoga Workshop Series with Chitra.
The workshop will take place on Sunday 14th September between 10am and 11am.
The cost for the workshop is $20.
Participants are welcome to attend other workshops in the series.
If attending the 11.30am - 12.30pm session, participants are invited to bring a vegetarian plate for a shared lunch, if desired.
The workshop will be held in person at the Woodend Neighbourhood House with a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 12 participants.
Attending face-to-face classes: Please aim to arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in and relax.
Please bring your own Yoga mat, blanket and cushion/bolster and any other props you have and like to use. If you do not have a Yoga mat, bring a blanket and large towel.
