About the Event

What's it all about?

Do you have old favourite clothes that are in need of TLC and repairs? Learn a variety of mending, stitching and patching techniques to re-create your wardrobe.

You tutor will help you hem, create darts & shaping, decorate or patch using bright fabrics and patterns, sew on buttons and complete small alterations of your clothes to renew and revive your favourites. This class will focus mostly on handsewing, occasional machine use if required.

Who will be teaching?

Libby has worked in arts and crafts with children, bushkids and school groups, parents and children and womens’ groups in NSW for the past 15 years.

During these classes, she has taught techniques for macramé, fibre arts, small basketry, ceramics, and mural painting.  She has worked creatively with natural and other materials that she finds and is inspired by these forms and textures and colours for her own works.

With children, Libby has taught Ceramics for at least 12 years.  She usually allow lots of creative expression, directing and teaching techniques to achieve outcomes pleasing to each individual.  In this class, she hopes everyone will find their own creative spirit and she looks forward to working work with that.
