Continuing Acrylic Painting (Term 3 2026)

Although this class is full, Marilyn will be offering Foundations of Acrylic Painting on Thursday afternoons in Term 3, 2026, providing another opportunity to join her classes.

Under the expert guidance of our art tutor Marilyn, participants can start a new project or bring along an unfinished acrylic painting. This supportive class is designed for those with prior experience in acrylic painting who are looking to build on their existing skills, refine techniques, and further develop their creative practice.

Suggested materials to bring along for the class:

• Canvas board or stretched canvas

• 8 x acrylic paints and brushes (list available upon request)

• Surface on which to mix paint (for example a plastic plate)

• Water container (for example a yoghurt pot)

• Rags for cleaning

• Optional: wet palette (a plastic tray such as a cleaned meat tray, lined with baking paper and a chux cloth)

Who will be teaching?

Marilyn is a local artist with a lifetime of experience in art using porcelain, glass, acrylics, pencils, charcoal, watercolour, oils and pens.

Term 3 2026 Information:

This ten-week course will run on Friday afternoons from Friday 17 July until Friday 18 September between 1pm - 3pm. The cost for the ten-week term is $200 (2 hour session at $20 each).

If you wish to join the class after the term has begun, our booking system will allow you to book for the remaining classes - assuming there is space.

Please note this class requires a minimum of 5 paid participants to go ahead. If this minimum number is not reached, a full refund will be provided. The workshop will have a maximum of 10 participants.
