About the Event

What's it all about?

Join our brand new monthly Canasta social group – beginners and experienced players are all welcome.

Canasta is a fun and easy card game played in pairs, using melds and simple strategies to score points. It’s quick to learn and great for keeping the mind active. Instruction and support will be provided, so new players can jump in with confidence while regular players enjoy a friendly game.

Come along for cards, conversation, and an enjoyable way to spend a morning – no long-term commitment required, and laughter is encouraged.

This 2.5-hour session includes a short break and plenty of time to learn, play, and enjoy good company.

Beginners are encouraged to watch the following videos prior to attending their first session to familiarise themselves with the basic rules of Canasta:

If videos aren’t your preference, these written instructions are also helpful.

Who will be leading the session?

The group is run by Karin, a semi-retired local who enjoys playing Canasta.
