About the Event

Expressions of Interest – Creative Class with Penelope

We are now inviting expressions of interest from students in Grades 5 and 6 for an exciting creative class with Penelope.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore a variety of themes, mediums, and techniques—sketching, weaving, printing, painting, and drawing alongside like-minded peers in a fun and inspiring environment.

All materials will be provided.

Who will be teaching?

Local artist/educator Penelope Cato is eager to share her experience and knowledge with budding young artists. Penelope has an abiding interest in nature, particularly plant life and a love for patterning and Japanese design.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Penelope has a background in design across disciplines and creates imaginative works with aesthetic appeal and subtle layers of meaning.

Her experience directing, inspiring and engaging primary students together with her passion for art make her an asset to our junior artistic community.

Visit Penelope's website or find her on the socials @penelope.cato
