About the Event
What's it all about?
Children aged 2-5 years are invited to join Penelope for some creative fun and explore a range of themes, mediums and techniques.
Sketch, weave, print, paint and draw with like minded individuals. Art Club (2-5 year olds) is ideal for preschoolers who are assisted by a parent or carer.
All materials supplied.
Who will be teaching?
Local artist/educator Penelope Cato is eager to share her experience and knowledge with budding young artists. Penelope has an abiding interest in nature, particularly plant life and a love for patterning and Japanese design.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Penelope has a background in design across disciplines and creates imaginative works with aesthetic appeal and subtle layers of meaning.
Her experience directing, inspiring and engaging primary students together with her passion for art make her an asset to our junior artistic community.

Term 1 2025 Information
This one-off trial session will take place on Wednesday 5th March between 2pm and 3pm. The cost for this session is $26.
The four week short course will run between Wednesday 12th March until Wednesday 26th March between 2pm and 3pm. The cost for the 4 week term is $104 (each 1 hour session costs $26). Please book via our website.
Art Clubs takes place in The Undercroft of the Woodend Neighbourhood House (access is via the gates next to the skate park, off Margery Crescent).
Please note it is advised that participants bring along an art smock or old shirt.
Art Club will run with a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 15 participants.
