Our Committee play an integral part in the direction of the house. Without the dedication of our committee, the house wouldn’t be what it is today.

We are always looking for new members to join our committee, or should you have a passion we have many sub-working groups that would love your assistance and input.

Become a Woodend Neighbourhood House Member

​

We want your input; by becoming a member you can play your part in providing your say in the direction the house takes and gives you the opportunity to join our very driven Committee of Governance.

​

If governance is not your thing, by joining you are contributing to a not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital part in your community informing opportunities to connect one another and building capacity within your neighbourhood.

​

Woodend Neighbourhood House is a member-driven organisation, just like other small incorporated associations. We charge a small membership fee, set by the Committee of Governance every year, which delivers benefits to members. Memberships are a yearly subscription, running from January to December each year. There is no pro-rata rate.

​

Benefits include:

  • Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting and any Special General Meetings of the Association.

  • Eligibility to stand for a position on the Committee of Governance (excluding Associate members and children within a Family membership).

  • Wi-Fi access within the House

  • Access to free activities at the House

​

Membership types

​

Individual – for one person 15 years or over, inclusive of one vote. Full members who are under the age of 18 are not able to become Committee of Governance members (for legal reasons). – $10 per individual

​

Family – for one or two adults and all dependent children associated with the family. There is only ONE vote per family membership. – $20.00 per family.

​

Associate – for persons under the age of 15 years who wish to become individual members. No voting rights are available with this membership. Associate members are unable to be members of the Committee of Governance. – $10.00 per individual.

​
