About the Event

What's it all about?

Kirtan (keer-tahn) is the coming together and singing of sacred mantras of the eastern spiritual traditions that are aimed at the easy purification and stimulation of the heart and mind in connection with a higher stratum. Melodious mantras are sung in call and response accompanied by traditional instruments creating a unique ambience conducive to mental peace, spiritual inspiration and the expansion of love and acceptance.

It’s a great way to reset your mental and heart space.

After kirtan, enjoy a joyful chat over a delicious home-cooked pure vegetarian feast (prasadam) that is created in the line of the Vaishnava kirtan tradition.

Everyone from any walk of life, new or familiar to kirtan or prasadam, is welcome to join either part of the program.  It's an easy-going, fun and fulfilling open space for all!

Who will be leading the group?

Facilitators Robyn and Paul are long-time local residents. Recognising the spiritual and community-building benefits of kirtan and loving to cook for others they have joined with friends to present this exciting monthly event in Woodend.
