About the Event
What's it all about?
Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a degree of chance. The game is played with a set of tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols in groups of four. At the Woodend Neighbourhood House, the group play the western style of Mahjong.
This group is for experienced players.
There is no beginners group in Term 4. Our next planned Beginners Group will be in Term 1, 2026.
Term 4 2025 Information
Mahjong runs on a Tuesday afternoon in the Rodney Snell Function Room between 12.30pm and 3pm (2.5hour session).
In term 4 2025, the term runs for 9 weeks, starting on Tuesday 7th October until Tuesday 9th December (there is no session on Tuesday 4th November due to the Melbourne Cup Day Public Holiday). The cost for the 9 week term is $45 (9 x 2.5hour sessions at $5 per session). Payment can be made online or in person at the Woodend Neighbourhood House.
