About the Event
What's it all about?
Creative Circle Woodend gives you space to lose yourself in creative play while connecting with like-minded people.
Enjoy project prompts, inspiring visuals, on-hand advice, discussions about artists and their work, and more. Explore a variety of mediums – ink, pencil, paint, paper, collage, and print. This class isn’t about perfect outcomes or formal drawing skills; it’s about discovery, expression, joyful aesthetics, and following your intuition.
Come together for wellbeing and creative fun – no experience needed.
Who will be leading the session?
Penelope is a Trentham-based artist with a deep love of nature, particularly plant life, and a passion for patterning and Japanese design. She often combines traditional art techniques with digital technologies to create works with rich layers of meaning and high aesthetic appeal.
Born into a family of artists, Penelope has been immersed in visual culture throughout her schooling and tertiary studies. She studied graphic design at Monash University and textile design at RMIT University. She has lectured in interior design at Holmesglen Institute and continues to share her expertise, most recently guiding primary school students in multimedia art projects.
