In the west, we all know the physical branch of Yoga–Hatha Yoga—but Yoga is so much more than that. It offers a full spectrum of practices for body, mind (including emotions) and spirit. Join our Yoga teacher Chitra Stern for this exploration of Yoga philosophy and practice, learning and practising tools to support every aspect of life. Classes will include an introduction to:
One of the things I love about Yoga is how broad it is – not everything appeals to everyone, but there is definitely something for everyone that really can make a difference. In this course, we will look at many aspects of Yoga and we can each take on board the components that resonate and work for us. This course is open to beginners to Yoga and more experienced students – hope to see you there! – Chitra.
Chitra Stern has been teaching Yoga since 1989, in Australia, India and the USA. She has trained with the Gita School of Yoga in Melbourne and with Integral Yoga in the USA, and is certified to teach Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-natal/post partum Integral Yoga Hatha classes. She has also completed Integral Yoga Stress Management Teacher Training and has trained with Amy Weintraub, completing level 1 and 2 Yoga for Depression teacher trainings. Chitra is also a Level 1 Integral Yoga teacher trainer and is currently running a teacher training program in Melbourne. Her focus in Yoga is on opening to our natural inner peace, freedom and joy by letting go of competition, accepting and enjoying ourselves as we are, being present in the moment and having fun!
