Join the Woodend Walkers and their war on waste. Get out, get active and enjoy a medium-paced walk around Woodend picking litter as you go.
Meet at the House at 10am on Tuesdays during the school holidays (3rd and 10th July) and head off for a walk around town picking up litter. Children of all ages are well – we do ask that children under 14 are accompanied by an adult.
Please bring gloves, a litter picking bag, your water bottle and dress appropriately.
Hubert Weisrock was busily involved in organising youth groups, camps and bike tours in his homeland of Germany. His 25 years as technical officer on all types of mercantile and passenger ships took him many times around the world. In September 1991, while still working full time on ships, he and his wife Anna started to build a mud brick house in Woodend. After his retirement in 2002 he wandered into the Neighbourhood House, where his passion for photography, gardening, walking and cycling, and DIY was soon put to good use.
To enjoy our free programs we request you become a member of the Woodend Neighbourhood House. Other benefits of being a member of the House include a 10% discount on one course per year and free access to Wifi at the House. Membership only costs $10 per year.
