    1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

What it is all about?

For beginners to find a stunning but suitable project, then learn as they work through it.

For those with some experience, advice on pattern reading and assistance with problems or advanced techniques.

What will we cover?

  • How to find patterns on the internet for sale or free
  • Advice on hooks & yarn to purchase for your project(s)
  • Basic crochet stitches
  • Pattern reading
  • Advanced techniques

What do I need to bring?

  • For the first class I will lend hooks to beginners and provide yarn for practice. I will also have some patterns.
  • Those who already have yarn and hook for a project can bring them to start work.
  • Bring your smart-phone or tablet if you want to search for patterns – or need help joining Ravelry knitting & crochet site.

Who will be teaching?

Lyn Perrott taught porcelain doll and figurine making, and also how to crochet period doll clothes and Victorian household items, in Camberwell and Surrey Hills neighborhood houses many years ago.

She then had her own studio in Camberwell, teaching and also selling her porcelain and crochet.

Lyn has arthritis and can share her experience with hooks and methods that are kinder to your hands.
