Release the body, calm the mind: gentle stress-management tools we can practice at home and at the desk:
Join us for an hour of gentle movement, relaxation and stress management. We will do a number of easy practices that help to reduce stress and illicit the relaxation response, including some gentle stretches sitting in a chair and standing, designed to help release tension in the back, neck and shoulders, a guided deep relaxation that can be done sitting or lying down, a natural breathing technique that can be done anywhere, anytime, and a short meditation – all designed to calm and relax the body and the mind. This session is suited to all ages and all bodies – everyone is welcome.
Classes will be interactive – you will have the option to be seen and heard by Chitra and other participants via video (or not if you prefer). We can all interact with each other and Chitra will be able to address issues and questions during the class.
Accessing the class: once you have booked for the course via the Woodend Neighbourhood House, you will receive your zoom booking link and instructions on how to access classes.
