What it is all about?basket

Have some fun and learn how to use natural plant fibres to make a small coiled basket. Get some tips on using plant fibres from your own garden for other projects.

Suitable for all ages and abilities. All materials supplied.

Please be aware that this class uses natural fibres and may be unsuitable for people with asthma or allergies.

What will we cover?

Learn how to harvest and prepare materials. I will teach you how to make a stitched coiled basket in this one day workshop.

Who will be teaching?

Lydia has over 30 years experience in art and craft. With Diplomas in Fine Arts and Horticulture, she enjoys growing plants and using natural plant fibres in basket making. Lydia is coordinator of the Basketry Group at the Plant Craft Cottage, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and member of Basket Makers Victoria.
