Come join in the Woodend Community Stitch Up!
Inspired by the BoomerangBag initiative, ‘Woodend Community Bags’ are taking the town by storm in a positive step to making Woodend plastic bag free.
Now you have the chance to be a part of the action!
When: Wednesday 12 July 10am to 3pm Come for the day or just a while – every little bit counts!
Where: Woodend Neighbourhood House, 47 Forest Street near Flexiride Bus stops 11 or 13 call 5422 1634 to book a ride.
Who: Everyone! All ages – all abilities welcome – yes kids too!
What: Woodend Community Bags making session
Why: To make our town even better!
NO SEWING EXPERIENCE NEEDED! There are lots of fun jobs including non-sewing activities too!
Please bring your sewing equipment if you have any – overlockers, sewing machines, iron, scissors, pins, and your smile!
If you can’t make it on the day you can still show your support in many ways – by donating fabric, donating extra re-usable bags, or even simply sharing this post to help get the word out!
