What’s it all about?
Music Minds is a school holiday program aimed at primary school children where they will experience music making, music listening, learn more about types of music and instruments, learn how to write songs, and will experience making a recording of their own compositions. Best of all – you don’t have to know how to read music or how to play an instrument to take part!
Class times and price
Music minds is a two-session program
Mondays 19 and 26 September (5-8 year olds) enrol here
Times: 9.30am to 1.30pm (4 hours)
What will we cover?
Participants will take part in group singing, improvisation using a range of percussion instruments, song writing and experience a professional recording.
We will learn some basic music reading skills too.
The aim of this program is for primary kids to have a fun experience whilst working on some social skills, listening, self-expression, music appreciation and musical skills.
All participants will receive a CD to take home of professional recordings of their compositions.

Who will be teaching?
Nyssa is a musician in the Australian Army, playing keyboard in the Rock Band The Rising Suns and the Jazz Band, and saxophone in the Marching Band.
As a Registered Music Therapist, Nyssa has a particular interest in how music can be used to assist all people in their day-to-day lives – whether it be for enjoyment, learning new skills or addressing specific needs.
