Woodend Warriors Walking Group
Starting up again in May, this weekly walking group is looking for willing walkers to join up and keep fit while enjoying the beauty that Woodend has to offer. "Why the Woodend Warriors?", you ask. This group walks rain, hail or shine. Meet at the Woodend Neighbourhood House on a Tuesday in May to be announced very soon.
Seniors Exercise for Health:
Improve your strength and balance with a weekly exercise session for seniors.
Gentle exercise to music and Tai Chi will help Improve your flexibility, strength and fitness as well as increase your bone density.

Pilates
Pilates improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.
This non- aerobic form of exercise calls for concentration and focus because the body is moved through precise ranges of motion.
This class is for students with pilates experience but beginners classes are available too.
Cycling
Join our cycling group, which caters for beginners and more advanced cyclists, for a two hour weekly ride around the Woodend Area.
Suits all fitness levels. BYO Bike, helmet and drink!
Oriental/Cabaret Style Belly Dance
Burn 450 calories in 45 minutes!
For the curvaceous woman who would like to experience an extremely fun way to exercise.
Belly dance is a low impact aerobic exercise that has gentle, yet powerful movements to strengthen and tone the entire body.
Belly dancing's rhythmic undulations will energise and tone every part of your body as you flick, isolate and shimmy your way around the different strands of Middle-Eastern dance.
Every movement can be modified to suit each individual's mobility, fitness and co-ordination level.

Tai Chi & Qi gong
Tai Chi and Qi gong quietens the mind and relaxes the body.
Qi gong is effective in several ways. It lowers blood pressure, minimises symptoms such as diabetes, increases general immunity,
relieves aches and pains, enhances metabolism, lowers stress and anxiety.
Includes updated form of Tai Chi for arthritis.
Ron Moore, a seasoned and knowledgable instructor, will be our Special Guest Instructor for Term 2. Coral will be back in Term 3.
